India’s National Statistics Office has projected that the economy is set to grow at 7.4% in the fiscal year 2025–26, surpassing earlier estimates of 6.3%–6.8% and signaling stronger momentum in domestic consumption, investment, and manufacturing activity. The updated growth forecast also highlights improvements in private consumption, which accounts for roughly 60% of GDP, and increased construction output, although agricultural growth is expected to moderate.
